Cambium Data, Inc. (“Cambium Data,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a managed IT services company in Omaha, Nebraska. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about people who visit our website, contact us, or are business contacts we work with or reach out to.
This policy does not cover data we handle on behalf of our clients while providing managed IT and related services. We are based in the United States, and our website is intended for businesses in the United States.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a free technology and AI review through our website, we ask for your name, company, email address, and phone number. You can also tell us how many users your organization has and add a message. If you call, email, or meet with us, we collect the information you choose to share, such as your contact details, information about your business and its technology, and copies of recent technology or telecom bills you provide for a review.
Please do not send sensitive personal information, such as health, financial account, or government ID information, through our website.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our website and hosting provider automatically record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. We use this information to operate and secure the website. Our website also uses the Apollo.io tool described in Website visitor analytics and a small number of cookies, described in Cookies and similar technologies.
Business contact information from other sources
We may obtain business contact information, such as a person’s name, job title, company, work email address, and work phone number, from public sources such as company websites and from business contact data providers. We use it to identify businesses that may benefit from our services and to contact them about those services.
Website visitor analytics
Our website uses a tool from Apollo.io that may use cookies and your IP address to identify the company or organization you are browsing from and which pages you view. It is designed to identify businesses, not individual people. We use it to understand which businesses are interested in our services and to follow up with them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
The Apollo.io tool loads from Apollo.io’s servers and may store an identifier in your browser. Apollo.io handles the information it collects under its own privacy policy, available at apollo.io/privacy-policy.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your questions and requests, including scheduling and carrying out a free technology and AI review
- Communicate with you about our services, including following up by phone or email
- Understand which businesses are interested in our services and which parts of our website are most useful
- Prepare quotes and proposals, and set up and manage services if you become a client
- Operate, maintain, and secure our website, including preventing spam and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of Cambium Data, our clients, and others
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in these situations:
- Service providers. Companies that help us run our business and this website, such as our website hosting provider, our business email and productivity tools, and Apollo.io. They handle information for us and under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Suppliers, when you ask for a quote. If you ask us to quote a product or service from another company, such as business internet or phone service, we may share the details needed to prepare that quote.
- Legal reasons. When we believe in good faith that the law, a subpoena, or a court order requires it, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cambium Data, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. If Cambium Data is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of its business, information may be transferred to the new owner, who will be expected to handle it consistently with this policy.
- With your permission. In other cases where you ask us to or agree that we may.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website places in your browser. Our website uses only a few:
- Security. Our hosting provider’s network security service may set a cookie that helps tell real visitors apart from automated bots.
- Visitor analytics. The Apollo.io tool described above may use cookies and similar browser storage.
- Site administration. Our staff use login cookies when they sign in to manage the website. These do not apply to general visitors.
We do not use cookies for third-party advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can still read our website if you do. Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
Client data we handle for our clients
When we provide managed IT, co-managed IT, compliance, security testing, and related services, we may have access to data that our clients store in the systems we support. We handle that data on our clients’ behalf and according to their instructions, under our Master Services Agreement and, where it applies, our Data Processing Agreement. Our clients own their data and decide how it is used. Our client agreements are available on our Legal page.
If you are an employee or customer of one of our clients and have a question about your information, please contact that organization directly. If we receive a request about a client’s data, we will pass it along to the client.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes in this policy, including to respond to you, keep business records, and meet legal, accounting, and security requirements. For example:
- Website form submissions are sent to our team by email and are not saved by our website’s form tool. Our website’s email system keeps a log copy for a short period, currently about two weeks, and then deletes it automatically.
- Information about prospective clients stays in our sales records while we have a reasonable business reason to stay in touch, or until you ask us to stop contacting you. If you ask us not to contact you, we may keep a short record so we can honor that request.
- If you become a client, we keep information as described in our client agreements.
When we no longer need information, we take reasonable steps to delete it or remove details that identify you.
How we protect information
We use comprehensive administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect, such as access controls, multi-factor authentication, and encryption of data in transit. We limit access to personal information to people who need it to do their jobs. No website, network, or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information you send to us.
Your choices and requests
- Marketing. You can ask us to stop sending you marketing emails or calling you at any time by replying to one of our emails or contacting us. We may still contact you about services you have requested or receive from us.
- Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law and will make reasonable efforts to honor other reasonable requests. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may keep some information when the law requires or allows it, such as for legal, security, or recordkeeping purposes. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our website, services, or legal requirements change. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make significant changes, we may also give additional notice, such as a notice on our website.
