The comprehensive security we put in place
Good cybersecurity leaves no easy way in. Many security problems start with something simple, like a stolen password or a computer that missed its updates.
Endpoint protection
Protection on your PCs and servers, with a person looking at the alerts, not just software that got installed once.
Email security
Filtering that helps reduce spam and phishing before it reaches your inbox, and email settings that make it harder for someone to pretend to be you.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
A second sign-in step, like a prompt on your phone, so a stolen password is less useful by itself.
Patching
Updates for Windows and your other software, installed on a schedule, so known holes get closed.
Backup and recovery
Backups we test by restoring, so you have a better chance of getting your files back if something does get through.
Microsoft 365 security
Sign-in settings, admin accounts and file sharing in Microsoft 365 reviewed and configured with security in mind.
Get ready for cyber insurance requirements
Cyber insurance readiness: help with the security questionnaire and the gaps behind it. We do not sell insurance.
Answer the questionnaire
Cyber insurance applications and renewals come with a security questionnaire. We help you answer it accurately, in plain English, so you know what you are signing.
Close the common gaps
Insurers commonly ask about MFA, backups, endpoint protection, email security and patching. We help put those in place or tighten them up, and write down what is done.
We cannot promise coverage or a lower premium. That is up to your insurer. What we can do is help you give honest answers and fix the gaps they ask about. Call (402) 514-3200 or use our contact page.

Security assessments and automated penetration testing
For when your insurer, a client contract or compliance rules ask for a penetration test.
An automated penetration test runs external and internal tests against your network. It looks for weaknesses an attacker could use, tests them within the approved scope, and gives you a plain-English report and a plan for fixes. It only runs with your written sign-off.
See how our automated penetration testing works, or read our guide on automated vs manual penetration testing.
Security that stays in place
Good IT security is not a one-time project. It takes regular attention.
Security settings drift. People join and leave, software gets added, and an old account nobody uses is still sitting there. We check in on your security settings so you know where things stand.
- Alerts from endpoint protection looked at by a person
- Updates installed on a schedule
- Backups tested by restoring
- Admin accounts and old user accounts reviewed
- Help filling out your cyber insurance questionnaire
Firewalls and the network underneath
Security depends on the equipment your network runs on.
An old firewall that no longer gets updates is a real risk. We set up and replace firewalls, including Cisco and Meraki, as part of our network support.
Need a firewall or server replaced as a one-time job? You don’t need a managed IT contract to hire us for a project or buy hardware. See infrastructure projects.
Security is part of the whole picture
Most of what is on this page can be part of our managed IT, so security is not a separate project you have to remember. Pricing is on the managed IT page.
AI employees that take the busywork off your staff: they sort the inbox, draft follow-ups and prepare routine documents, so your team gets more done. Your people approve anything that goes out. Before any AI tool goes in, we check who can see what in your files. AI integration and Copilot readiness

Cybersecurity questions
Can you make us hack-proof?
No one can honestly promise that. What we can do is put comprehensive security in place, keep it maintained, and make sure you can recover if something gets through.
What is the free technology and AI review?
We look at your setup and what you pay today, then show you what is not protected and which repetitive office work AI employees could take over. It is free, there is no obligation, and you keep the written summary either way. Get a free technology and AI review.
What is the difference between a scan and a penetration test?
A scan lists what looks open or out of date. A penetration test goes further and safely tries to use those weaknesses, so you see which ones actually matter. Our automated penetration testing guide explains more.
Will this help with our cyber insurance questionnaire?
Yes. That is what our cyber insurance readiness help is for. We help you answer the questionnaire and close the gaps insurers commonly ask about. We cannot promise coverage or a lower premium.
We are a medical or dental office. Can you help?
Yes. For medical and dental offices, we help put the technical safeguards HIPAA calls for in place and keep them maintained, alongside your compliance advisor.
We already have an IT person. Can you still help?
Yes. We can take on the security pieces they do not have time for and write down who owns what. See co-managed IT on our managed IT page.
